CHALI MOSS (THEY/THEM)
Chali Moss is a queer, nonbinary artist from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Chali cares deeply about creating theatre that allows audience members with various personhoods and lived experiences to find connection and catharsis. They believe that theatre should be physically and monetarily accessible and that we must uplift stories that have not always had a safe space to be told. As a nonbinary person, they hope to help create more intentionality and inclusivity for trans and gender nonconforming people and stories.A personal artistic inspiration for Chali is Robin Williams. He brought light and love to the world through the art he created for the benefit of all. Chali cares about expanding both their own and the audience's hearts and perspectives through mental health advocacy and theatre.Chali was most recently seen on stage as Juliet in Ball State’s Romeo & Juliet. Previously they were in Stages: A Devised Ensemble Piece, The Three Musketeers, and Choreography Projects. They’ve been behind the camera for training videos, PSAs, and info-mercials for Remedy Live, and have been in multiple independent short films. Currently, they're in Ball State Radiance Cinema’s film: Passing Portrait. Chali is also the Vice President of BSU’s Reflex improv troupe! When they’re not in rehearsals or class they love taking care of plants, doing drag, altering clothes, listening to podcasts, and playing board games! Later, they would love to continue their academic education by getting a master's degree, but for now, they're excited to keep exploring and telling stories.
